Hi, I'm Jillian, and I'm a graphic designer.

I'm currently a senior at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I have grown incredibly as a designer throughout my four years here, and I'm proud of my work and the person I've become.

I've always been creative and design-oriented; I remember doing arts and crafts all day with my mom and grandparents when I was little. I've also always had an entrepreneurial spirit instilled in me; I started my own business when I was 10; A Jillian Vance Design is a project that I've been passionate about, and it consists of stamps and dies for papercrafting and cardmaking. This business has been a way to learn about economics, customer service, design, and video editing.

These skills have shaped me as a person as well as a businesswoman, and I'm so glad I have the knowledge that I do today. This business has also given me the opportunity to travel extensively, which I cannot be more grateful for.

I'm also incredibly passionate about music, as it's been instrumental in my life for as long as I can remember (and even before that). My love for it was definitely instilled in me by my parents, and it's always stuck with me. There's a song out there for every emotion I'm feeling, and there are bands and artists that I've grown up with and been able to turn to no matter what. As I deal with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and anxiety, I turn to my favorite bands and artists to know that I'm not alone in those things. Concerts are my happy place, where I can forget about the difficult moments and the stress in my life, and just be content. That's why one of my biggest goals as a designer is to work in the music industry to some extent.

In my free time, you can probably find me reading, writing, watching Netflix, or playing guitar.
