Hi, I'm Jillian, and I'm a graphic designer.
I graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. I minored in marketing and have extensive experience in that field as well. I've always been creative and design-oriented; I remember doing arts and crafts all day with my mom and grandparents when I was little. I've also always had an entrepreneurial spirit instilled in me; I started my own business when I was 10; A Jillian Vance Design is a project that I've been passionate about, and it consists of stamps and dies for papercrafting and cardmaking. This business has been a way to learn about economics, customer service, design, and video editing. These skills have shaped me as a person as well as a businesswoman, and I'm so glad I have the knowledge that I do today. This business has also given me the opportunity to travel extensively, which I cannot be more grateful for. In 2021, I took the NYU & Yellowbrick Film and TV Essentials certificate course, where I learned multitudes about the film industry. This course required me to write my own screenplay, shoot a short film, and create the marketing material. Film is another passion of mine, and when I'm not working on my small business, you can probably find me working background on a film or TV set; I've worked on Cobra Kai season 4, American Rust, Bones and All directed by Luca Guadagnino, and White Noise directed by Noah Baumbach. In my free time, you can probably find me reading, writing, watching movies, or playing guitar. |
