My Design Philosophy |
Communication is at the heart of graphic design, which is why it is of utmost importance. For me, design is effective communication. My priority is placed on understanding thoroughly how clients are addressing the needs of their audience. I place high importance on the understanding of persons, organizations, and goals to ensure that the end result is clearly understood, engaging, and satisfying. Much of my work is influenced by the International Typographic Style; simple, clear designs are what I create. I use modern typefaces with large families to maintain consistency within my work, utilizing bold, thin, and italic variations to create hierarchy and emphasis. Pairing serif and sans-serif typefaces to create some variation help maintain consistency. Color is a crucial aspect of my work; mature, confident colors such as black and red are common in my work. I also study color psychology to make sure the color schemes are always intentional. My craftsmanship and attention to detail is of utmost priority in my work. I believe that design can be a bridge between cultures and people, and I create those bridges by creating designs with clear messages that appeal to a wide, diverse audience. |
